Route de Lausanne is a scenic road in western Switzerland running from Geneva along Lake Geneva through charming towns like Nyon and Lausanne. Once an important connection between the lake and the Alps, it now offers history, culture, and beautiful Swiss views.

Redesign with TreeParker®

Along various sections of Route de Lausanne in the Bellevue area, trees have been planted using the TreeParker® system. Traffic in the Bellevue area is being redesigned to prioritize active mobility, with a 30 km/h speed limit while maintaining space for vehicles, public transport, and parking. This redesign, including the planting of a row of trees, will create a harmonious living environment in the heart of Bellevue and enhance safety for all road users.

Green streetscape

This project was managed by our Swiss partner Hortima. The trees are developing well and will provide shade for visitors on hot summer days, vibrant colors in autumn, and beautiful blossoms in spring. As a result, the streetscape of Route de Lausanne has become not only more visually appealing but also healthier and greener.
